College Football Rumors: Texas Tech WR transfer Jonathan Giles named top 10
Although it was a shock to hear of Jonathan Giles" transfer from Texas Tech, the college football star has released a list of top 10 schools.
Catching passes from Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech had to be a dream come true for sophomore wide receiver Jonathan Giles. He accounted for over 1,000 yards in his second season and had previously called Texas Tech his dream school.
However, he announced he'd be transferring earlier this week, surprising just about everyone. Shortly after that, he revealed the 10 schools who would be in the running to land him. As you can imagine, the potential suitors include some elite programs.

Ohio State, Florida State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, LSU, Louisville, Georgia, SMU, Oregon and Purdue made the cut. Who will he choose, and when?
According to Bruce Feldman, Giles plans on choosing between one of those 10 schools by mid-to-late June. It'll be interesting to see how many visits the Missouri City, Texas, native takes.
#TexasTech transfer WR Jonathan Giles will take an official visit to #LSU June 1. He told me he hopes to make a decision by mid/late June.

Unfortunately for the schools listed, he will be forced to sit out a year, per NCAA transfer rules. This means that dream scenarios for a few teams are unlikely. For example, he might not be able to play with Lamar Jackson if he picks Louisville as the junior quarterback will likely head to the NFL following this season.
Giles recorded 69 catches for 1,158 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2016, leading the Red Raiders' prolific offense. He only had 16 catches for 241 yards and two scores in his final five games after a scorching start to the year.
