College Football Injury Report: Week 2
The College Football Injury Report for Week 2 brings an intriguing lineup of injuries to the table. Check out which teams may need to worry in their matchups this week…
G Kareem Are , Florida State
Florida State Seminoles offensive guard Kareem Are is still out this week due to a concussion. Are’s presence is missed on the Seminoles offensive line as they struggled a bit in Week 1 against Ole Miss in their 45-34 comeback victory.
The Seminoles offensive line committed five false starts but only allowed two sacks in their season opener.
Are appeared in 13 games for the Seminoles in 2015 and earned third team All-ACC honors. He’s yet to make his 2016 debut, as redshirt freshman offensive guard David Robbins plays in his place.

Oregon Ducks tight end Johnny Mundt is questionable with a knee issue for their Week 2 matchup against Virginia. Mundt has been wearing a knee brace and held out of practice so far this week.
Mundt caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown in the Ducks week 1 victory over UC Davis 53-28. The Ducks possess a lot of depth at the tight end position with Evan Baylis and Pharoah Brown on the roster, ready to start.
QB Matt Davis, SMU
The SMU Mustangs quarterback Matt Davis is listed as questionable for this week’s game against Baylor, due to a knee injury. Davis suffered his injury in the Mustangs victory over North Texas in Week 1 and is a game time decision.
Davis threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 110 yards in their 34-21 victory. The quarterback definitely would be missed, as the Mustangs face the Baylor Bears on the road in Week 2.
Backup quarterback Ben Hicks should be ready if needed. Hicks threw for 145 passing yards and a touchdown in their 34-21 victory as well.
QB Zach Greenlee, UTEP
UTEP Quarterback Zach Greenlee is out for this week’s game against Texas, due to a few injuries. Greenlee will miss 1-2 weeks after suffering a few injuries in Week 1. Greenlee suffered a slight MCL tear, a seperated shoulder, and a broken finger.
Miners quarterback Greenlee threw 229 passing yards and three touchdowns in their Week 1 victory over New Mexico State 38-22. Backup sophomore quarterback Kavika Johnson will start in Week 2.
Johnson played wide receiver in Week 1, catching two passes for 26 yards.
RB Ryan Nall, Oregon State

Oregon State Beavers running back Ryan Nall is questionable for this week’s game against Idaho State with a bone bruise in his foot. The running back did not have a walking boot after Wednesday, however his status for Week 2 is still uncertain.
Nall recorded 151 all-purpose yards (71 rushing, 80 passing) in the Beavers Week 1 loss against Minnesota 30-23. Nall suffered his foot injury during the game.
Freshman running back Art Pierce got first team reps this week and will be ready to go if Nall is unavailable.
