Clemson, FSU lead ACC in combine invites

On Thursday the NFL released its official list of players invited to this year’s combine and the ACC will be represented by 43 athletes at the annual scouting event.

Clemson, who finished the 2015 season ranked second in the nation with a 14-1 record, leads the conference with eight invites and is followed by Florida State (6), Miami (5), N.C. State (5), Boston College (4), Virginia Tech (4), Duke (3) Syracuse (2), Georgia Tech (2), Louisville (1), Pitt (1), Virginia (1) and North Carolina (1). Nobody from Wake Forest was invited.

Highlighting this year’s group of combine attendees is Duke all-American safety Jeremy Cash, Clemson teammates CB Mackensie Alexander, DE Kevin Dodd and Shaq Lawson, along with Pitt WR Tyler Boyd.
