Chris Petersen knows what Ducks QB Adams is capable of

Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. has sat out for the majority of the Ducks' past four games, two of which resulted in losses. With a broken right index finger, Adams has been unable to play; however, he may see the field against Washington this Saturday in Seattle.

Washington head coach Chris Petersen is all too familiar with Adams. Adams started for Eastern Washington against the Huskies in Seattle last year. While the Huskies found a way to win, Adams was the best player on the field.

When asked if he needed to be reminded of Adams' seven-touchdown performance against the Huskies last year, Petersen said, “I don’t need to peek at that. I remember it very clearly.”

The Ducks are clearly having a down year as the team is 3-3 and 1-2 in Pac-12 play. However, Petersen isn't buying the idea that the Ducks are a team to overlook.

“If our team for one second thinks this is like a different Oregon program, I know what’ll happen, and it won’t be good,” he said.
