Chattanooga expected to tab Arth as football coach
(STATS) - Chattanooga will name John Carroll's Tom Arth as its next head football coach, according to reports.
Arth, 35, has compiled a 40-8 record at John Carroll over the last four seasons. This season, he was named the Division III coach of the year, leading a national semifinalist that won an outright Ohio Athletic Conference title for the first time since 1989 and beat longtime powers Mount Union and Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Last week, Chattanooga coach Russ Huesman departed after eight seasons to take over the Richmond program. Chattanooga was 9-4, tied for second in the Southern Conference and made the FCS playoffs, bowing out in the second round.
The news was first reported by Daren Stoltfus of WCIV in Charleston, South Carolina.
