Cards land five on NFL.com's top-140 draft prospects list
The 2015 NFL draft will kick off this Thursday, and by the time it wraps up Louisville fans can expect to hear as many as five former Cardinals names called by the end of it.
According to NFL.com, Louisville has five prospects ranked in the top-140 and each has a strong chance to be drafted this week.
Leading way is former U of L standout wide receiver DeVante Parker, who is arguably the third-best wide receiver prospect in the draft behind Alabama’s Amari Cooper and West Virginia’s Kevin White, and is listed as the 11th-best prospect overall.
Outside linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin was tabbed the 91st best prospect and was followed by OL John Miller (124) and defensive backs James Sample (127) and Gerod Holliman (134).
The NFL draft will begin 8 p.m. Thursday night.
