Can South Carolina flip defensive lineman committed to Texas?
Will Muschamp has demonstrated a tenacious drive on the recruiting trails since arriving in Columbia.
Not only is he and his staff attacking the recruiting world with fervor and zeal, but he's also not afraid to go after prospects committed to other schools.
One of those recruits is Baton Rouge native Malcolm Roach. Although committed to Texas, it hasn't stopped Muschamp from pursuing the talented defensive end. Roach will visit South Carolina officially this upcoming weekend -- the last weekend before National Signing Day on Feb. 3.
#Texas DE commit @MalcHendrix still plans to make OV to #SouthCarolina this weekend. Has already had in-home visit from Will Muschamp.

Roach is a versatile prospect. At 6'4", 255 pounds, he's athletic enough to play standing up as an outside linebacker (likely in a 3-4 scheme).
However, he also can put his hand in the dirt and rush off the edge as a defensive end in some packages. If he continues to get physically bigger, a move potentially inside as a tackle also isn't out of the question.
With the Gamecocks getting the last visit, anything truly could happen in regards to this recruitment.
