Campbell 48, San Diego 24

Braden Smith rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another as Campbell broke the game open in the second half to defeat San Diego 48-24 Saturday.

The Camels (4-3, 3-2 Pioneer Football League) intercepted six passes, including four on the final six possessions by the Toreros (6-2, 4-1).

Smith's 12-yard pass to Jordan Cramer gave Campbell a 35-24 lead with 3:13 left in the third quarter, and he ran for fourth-quarter scores of 1 and 52 yards.

Campbell won its third consecutive game for the first time since restarting its football program in 2008.

Smith also scored on a 21-yard run and Carl Smith on a 24-yard run for the Camels in the first quarter. Cramer had second-quarter TD runs of 26 and 3 yards.

Erik Feliciano and Greg Bridges each had two interceptions and Terrell Barnes and Michael Rudisill one each. Five came against San Diego starter Mason Mills.
