BYU arrives in Las Vegas amid uncertainty about who will be Cougars' new coach

It's always a bit of an awkward situation when a football coach leaves his program for greener pastures, yet there is still a bowl game to be played. That's exactly what is going on with Bronco Mendenhall and BYU.

Navy head man Ken Niumatalolo arrived in Utah Sunday night and spent Monday interviewing with BYU and LDS Church leaders about BYU’s coaching vacancy. A decision from him is expected soon.

If Niumatalolo opts to stay at Navy, the head coaching situation could drag on to well beyond the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 19.
