Bubba Smith named to FWAA 75th anniversary team

Michigan State football landed one representative on the Football Writers Association of America's 75th Anniversary All-America Team: Bubba Smith. 

Smith was a two-time All-American as a defensive end for the Spartans in 1965 and '66. 

The Beaumont, Texas, native was also the national defensive lineman of the year before being the No. 1 pick in the 1967 NFL draft. 

He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988, and his jersey No. 95 was retired in 2006.
