Brown hopes to boost Iowa State ground game

Iowa State has a returning starting quarterback and three accomplished receivers.

What about the ground game, though?

"Just worry about the good things and what you can do to perfect yourself," sophomore running back Tyler Brown said to RadioIowa.com. "The reps I did get in the games helped me understand the game more and what to expect at this level."

No one really knows what to expect from the Cyclones ground game this season.

Brown had just 24 attempts last season for 109 yards, so there's plenty of room for improvement and playing time. Sam Richardson, the team's quarterback, rushed for 421 last year. However, the team's leading rusher last year, Aaron Wimblerly, is gone as is DeVondrick Nealy.
