Blue Devils Lead All-ACC Academic Football Team Selections

Fourteen Duke Football players were named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team for their performances on the field and in the classroom last season.

The Atlantic Coast Conference recently announced the 2016 All-ACC Academic Football Team honored for their academic achievements. Duke Football excelled in the conference academically, dominating the number of selections named to the team.

Student-athletes are required to have a GPA of at least 3.00 for the previous semester and at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA for their academic career. The Blue Devils led the way with 14 players named to the All-Academic team, more than twice as many selections as the second-highest institutions with 6 (Boston College, Pitt, and Wake Forest). Here is a list of the Duke players honored by the ACC on the conference academic team:

    Duke Football struggled on the field last season finishing 4-8 and 1-7 in the ACC. The Blue Devils will look improve and return to a bowl game next year. Congrats to all the Blue Devils named to the All-ACC Academic team and thanks for representing the program well on and off the field!
