Big Ten recognizes Peppers for efforts in Michigan's win at Minnesota

Versatile defensive back Jabrill Peppers was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday after he helped Michigan survive an upset bid at Minnesota.

The redshirt freshman participated in 92 plays against the Golden Gophers, including seven on offense.

He had three tackles and broke up two passes on defense and scored a touchdown on a 6-yard run after taking a direct snap on offense.

Peppers also made the most of his two return opportunities, taking a kickoff back 43 yards and a punt back 41 yards to give the Wolverines prime field position twice.

Peppers was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Week after helped the Wolverines shut out Northwestern last month.
