Beavers athletics total revenue drops, total expenses rise in 2014
The Oregon State Beavers athletic department saw a sharp drop in total revenue in 2014, while also seeing a rise in total expenses. Needless to say, that's not a good combination for the school.
According to a report by USA Today the Beavers total revenue for 2014 was $63,301,794, which was about $2,000,000 less than in 2013. The Beavers ranked No. 50 in the nation in total revenue and No. 8 in the Pac-12.
Oregon State's total athletic department expenses in 2014 amounted to $73,020,003, which was nearly $9,000,000 more than in 2013.
The Beavers are currently searching for a new athletic director after Bob De Carolis stepped down earlier this month.
