Bears got that bling, as in their championship rings

Lost in the haze of the College Football Playoff committee leaving the Big 12 out of the inaugural four-team bracket, was the fact that the Baylor Bears claimed back-to-back conference championships.

That they had to share the title with the TCU Horned Frogs is of little consequence, especially now that the Bears have their 2014 championship rings.

As everybody knows, the bling is the thing.

Baylor finished the season 11-2 after a heartbreaking loss to Michigan State after the Bears had built a 20-point lead.

Coach Art Briles' team will continue to try to make history at the one-time doormat by capturing a third consecutive conference championship. The season starts Sept. 4 against SMU.
