Bears' Briles goes R-rated to describe Corey Coleman's TD prowess

Corey Coleman leads the nation with 20 touchdown catches, a mesmerizing number considering the Baylor Bears have played eight games this season. Last week against Kansas State, he set a Big 12 record with a seventh consecutive game of two touchdowns or more.

The junior from Richardson, Texas, is putting up crazy statistics across the board. His 20 TDs is a new Baylor single-season record and he leads the next best in the nation by six. Coleman already ranks among the top-10 all-time for most touchdown catches in a season and with four regular-season games left, he's just seven shy of Louisiana Tech's Troy Edwards’ all-time record of 27 set in 1998. Randy Moss grabbed 26 in 1997.

There's been plenty of descriptions of Coleman's dominance this season, but probably none like Baylor coach Art Briles offered Monday night during an interview on ESPN.

"He's just a bad dude, man. I mean that guy is tough, now," Briles said. "He'll pull your heart out and watch it stop beating. He is a bad hombre, and he's a guy that really has a great competitive spirit and a lot of confidence. He's just a person that doesn't want to be denied."

The Oklahoma Sooners are next up to try Saturday night when they visit McLane Stadium in a Big 12 showdown. In a 48-14 Baylor win a year ago at Oklahoma, Coleman led the Bears with 15 catches for 224 yards.

But, OU did hold him to a single touchdown.
