Baylor students protest sexual assault with 'sweep-it-under-the-rug' homecoming float

Students at Baylor University found a way to make a statement on Homecoming weekend, a time when football and nothing else is supposed to matter.

Dallas News' Adam Grosbard reports that the NoZe Brotherhood, a "secret society" on Baylor's campus that publishes the satirical paper The Rope, drove a float themed "Sweep-It-Under-the-Rug" through the university's homecoming parade route.

A jab at the university's vast mishandling of sexual assault allegations involving members of the Baylor football team, the float was simple: a rug dragged behind a truck, accompanied by masked, broom-wielding rug-minders.

A simple, effective protest that probably made more than a few Baylor diehards very upset? Probably.

The last thing the university wants on its Big Football Weekend? Undoubtedly.
