Ballage signs with Sun Devils a day late
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) Running back Kalen Ballage has signed a national letter of intent with Arizona State, a day after a snowstorm prevented him from filing the paperwork.
Ballage had planned to sign on Wednesday, national signing day, but his school in Peyton, Colo., was closed because of ice, snow and cold temperatures.
Ballage's signing adds to an already-strong 2014 recruiting class by Arizona State coach Todd Graham. The Sun Devils' third class under Graham was rated 17th in the nation by Scout and 21st by Rivals.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Ballage was rated among the top running backs and athletes in the country.
