Bahar throws 2 TD passes to rally Monmouth past Presbyterian
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Kenji Bahar threw a pair of touchdown passes to Reggie White Jr. on Saturday to rally Monmouth past Presbyterian 24-14.
Bahar connected with White from 40 yards out to give the Hawks (6-2, 1-0 Big South Conference) a 10-7 lead with 1:31 left in the third quarter. The pair hooked up again for a 37-yard completion that made it 17-7 with 9:23 left in the game.
The Blue Hose (2-5, 0-3) took advantage of a short field to cut the deficit to 17-14 on John Walker's 11-yard TD pass to Dohnte Meyers with 6:44 left.
Monmouth stopped Presbyterian on downs at the Blue Hose 32 with 2:21 left and Vinny Grasso ran it in from 27 yards out to clinch it for the Hawks with 25 seconds left.
White finished with six catches for 117 yards and Lonnie Moore IV added six catches for 107 yards.
Walker passed for 191 yards for PC.
