Badgers spring breakout player: T.J. Edwards

Coming into the spring, inside linebacker was an area of concern for the Badgers.

After losing Marcus Trotter and Derek Landisch the team had a huge void to fill. ESPN.com's Brian Bennett feels the team might have a player ready to step up and fill that void. He named T.J. Edwards the team's spring breakout player.

The linebacker solidified his starting spot after he had nine tackles and one sack during the spring game. The coaches are high on him as well per ESPN.com:

"T.J.'s done a nice job," Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst said last week. "I've loved the way he's approached it. He's had some things that he's done well, so it gives him confidence. I think he's building on that."

If Edwards can continue his solid spring play, Badgers fans will feel much better about replacing two very dependable players on defense.
