Badgers RB Deal named B1G Freshman Of The Week
The Wisconsin Badgers put on an impressive performance on Saturday winning 28-0 over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors but a freshman came away an impressive honor.
Running back Taiwan Deal earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on Monday. Deal is the first Badger to be recognized by the conference this year and the first freshman to get the honor since Corey Clement in 2013.
Deal rushed for 147 yards in his first career start, which was a career high.
He will be counted on heavily now with star running back Corey Clement out for several weeks.
