Auburn welcomes nine early enrollees for the spring semester

The saviors have arrived. A tad dramatic perhaps but coming off a last place SEC West finish in 2015, Auburn needs all the help they can get from the nine early enrollees who are now official members of the Tiger football team after enrolling in class for the spring semester.

Headlined by junior college quarterback John Franklin III, the No. 1 rated JUCO athlete in the country according to 247Sports, five-star defensive lineman Marlon Davidson and four-star receiver Kyle Davis, a number of the players could play key roles as soon as next season for a rebounding Auburn team.

The remaining list of new players enrolled at Auburn includes: defensive back John Broussard, defensive lineman Antwuan Jackson, junior college defensive lineman Paul James III, running back Malik Miller, tight end Landon Rice and linebacker Tre Threat.

Getting on campus a semester early in order to participate in spring practice bodes well for the players hoping to make an impact next season, most notably Franklin who has publicly stated his desire to start at quarterback in 2016 and looks to be an ideal fit in Gus Malzahn's offense.

With nearly half a recruiting class arriving early, don't be surprised if Auburn has several young contributors next fall.
