ASU's Mike Bercovici, Matt Haack named Pac-12 Players of the Week
After a huge upset victory on the road vs. UCLA, Arizona State is one of the hottest teams in the Pac-12.
The winning effort was led by quarterback Mike Bercovici and punter Matt Haack; both were named by the Pac-12 as the best players in the conference during week five. Bercovici, a senior, had 310 total yards and 3 total touchdowns. Bercovici also converted 17 first downs. He was 27-of-44, adding a career-long 34-yard touchdown run during the victory.
Haack, also named Ray Guy Award Player of the Week, landed five of his eight punts inside the 20-yard line. He averaged 43.1 yards per punt, netting 345 yards.
It was the first time Bercovici or Haack had received such honors from the conference.
