Art Briles: 'There's a chance' Baylor, Arkansas play in Houston in 2019
Talk about the ultimate matchup of size and strength against flash and speed, if the Baylor Bears and Arkansas Razorbacks do schedule a future matchup against each other we could see the most contrasting game of football outside of Oregon vs. Stanford in the country.
Art Briles hinted at the possible neutral site matchup recently:
This comes after Bret Bielema has gone on record as saying the Hogs would explore more neutral site non-conference games across the country.
Playing this game in Houston would give both schools a footprint into the most populated city in Texas, which could prove to be huge in recruiting. The Razorbacks already play Texas A&M in Dallas every season, a game in which Bielema is also on record as supporting, playing two games in Texas a season would be huge for the bordering Arkansas program.
While no official announcement has been made regarding the series, as long as both teams have an available slot to fill for an upcoming non-conference game, expect the speculation to continue until a game is officially announced.
