Arkansas vs LSU Football Game Already a Sellout
It’s not even technically October but the November 12th Arkansas vs LSU football game is already sold out.
If you went by just sports talk radio in Arkansas, you would think that fans had already given up on the Hogs. Don’t always believe what you hear, as the old saying goes. Yesterday, the University announce that the home game against LSU was already a sellout.
Hogs vs Tigers marks the third on-campus sellout of the season. Texas State and Alabama have already sold out as well. So what does this say about the state of the fanbase?
For starters, it seems that callers to sports radio don’t accurately represent the fans as a whole. I hear every day how terrible they are but yet the fans still pack out the home games. So I don’t believe the rational majority has even started to give up on their Razorbacks.
That is a really good thing not just for the team taking the field this year but also for the recruits looking at coming to Arkansas. Knowing that even if they slip up and go through growing pains, the fanbase still has their back is huge. No one wants to play for a team that the fans don’t believe in.
LSU vs Arkansas has always been a big game between the two schools. However, after games like the 2002 “Miracle on Markham”, 2014’s shutout and even last years “beat down in the bayou”, the rivalry has grown to be something fierce. If you still need tickets, the University recommends you check out the Razorback Ticket Exchange for single game tickets. Woo, Pig!
