Arizona QB Solomon KO'd by shot to head against Bruins
TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon was knocked out of the No. 16 Wildcats' 56-30 loss to No. 9 UCLA on Saturday night after taking a hit to the head.
Solomon, a sophomore, was injured in the second quarter after sliding and being hit by the thigh pad of a UCLA defender. The school did not make an announcement about Solomon's condition, but he was not on the sideline for the second half.
Backup Jerrard Randall was 4 of 16 for 45 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and rushed for 128 yards and a TD.
Solomon threw for 55 yards and a touchdown on 4-of-10 passing before his injury. He threw for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns with no interceptions in Arizona's first three games.
