Arizona LB Wright has a sprained right foot, out 'several weeks'
Arizona All-American linebacker Scooby Wright is out again after spraining his right foot in a 56-30 loss to UCLA on Saturday, his first game back after suffering a left knee injury.
On Monday, Wildcats head coach Rich Rodriguez said star linebacker Scooby Wright will be out 'several weeks.'
According to the Tucson Star's Zack Rosenblatt, Rodriguez said Wright "landed on his right foot at some point and sprained" it.
“Having Scooby out several weeks is something we’re going to have to deal with," Rodriguez said.
Wright missed most of the first three games after suffering a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee, an injury that required surgery. Wright swept the major national defensive awards as a sophomore last season. He has five tackles so far this year.
Rodriguez said quarterback Anu Solomon, who left the UCLA game after taking a hit to the head, is day-to-day after suffering a concussion against the Bruins. Senior Jerrard Randall took over vs. UCLA and would likely start against No. 19 Stanford on Saturday if Solomon is unable to return.
Rosenblatt also reports that linebacker Derrick Turituri is banged up as well and his status is questionable vs. Stanford.
