Analyzing the Penn State Depth Chart for the Temple Game

Penn State’s depth chart for the Stripe Out game versus Temple has been released

The Nittany Lions return to Beaver Stadium this Saturday versus the Temple Owls.  Coming off a loss against the Pitt Panthers, Penn State will look to get back on track and avenge last year’s lost to the Owls.

There are a few changes this week due to the injuries of a few players.  Let’s take a look.

On offense, due to Saeed Blacknall’s injury, DeAndre Thompkins takes over one of the starting wide receiver spots with Irvin Charles backing him up.

Over on the defensive side of the ball, Evan Schwan and Kevin Givens are both listed as starters despite nursing injuries.  Due to the injury to Jason Cabinda, there are some changes at linebacker.  Nyeem Wartman-White occupies the starting middle linebacker spot now, Brandon Bell moves over to the starting Will linebacker and Manny Bowen is the starter at the Sam linebacker spot.

There are no changes on the special teams.  It will be interesting to see if James Franklin discusses any of the injuries during his weekly press conference Tuesday.

Check out Penn State’s entire depth chart for this week below.
