All signs pointing to Josh Rosen as UCLA's starting quarterback?
It's the little things, really.
UCLA's a week into training camp but no word yet on who will be the Bruins' starting quarterback. Chris Foster at the Los Angeles Times, however, has picked up some interesting clues that might suggest Josh Rosen as the starter.
"For starters, receiver Jordan Lasley switched his jersey number from No. 3 to No. 2 this season," Foster reporters. "Freshman quarterback Josh Rosen wears No. 3, and players with the same number can't be on the field at the same time. This could be attributed to being prepared in the event Rosen beats out junior Jerry Neuheisel for the job."
As if that wasn't enough, Foster also reported this interesting nugget.
"Meanwhile, receiver Jordan Payton has a VIP roommate during camp -- Rosen -- but Payton said no one should read too much into the roomies thing. .... The Bruins’ best receiver, who also happens to be one of the team’s most mature individuals, was matched with the freshman. Sure, it was just one of those coincidences."
Interesting, nonetheless.
