Alabama boots transfer for violation of team rules
Alabama has dismissed Charles Baldwin, a recent five-star junior college offensive tackle signee, from the program for a violation of team rules. The Tide made the news official via a press release Thursday.
The 6-5, 295-pounder from Connecticut had been competing for the vacant right tackle job. Baldwin played at ASA College in Brooklyn, New York, and was ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the Rivals JUCO100 and the No. 1 junior college player in the nation according to ESPN JC50.
He chose Alabama over Georgia, Oklahoma, Michigan State and Ole Miss. The 'Bama staff has been excited by the arrival of another top O-line recruit Jonah Williams, an early enrollee from California.
