Air Force RB Clark dismissed

Air Force running back Asher Clark is no longer enrolled at the academy amid a newspaper report that he was caught up in an investigation into illegal drug use.

Academy spokesman David Cannon says the Privacy Act precludes him from disclosing the reason for Clark's dismissal that comes less than a week before graduation.

The (Colorado Springs) Gazette, citing sources it did not name, said Clark is among 31 cadets that were the subject of an investigation into illegal drug use.

Clark finished his career as the school's second all-time leading rusher with 3,594 yards. He was selected to the Mountain West Conference second-team squad last season.

He was excluded from the Falcons' trip to the White House last month as they received the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy from President Barack Obama.
