ACC stars of the week: Three schools have multiple honorees

This week Florida State, Wake Forest and Pitt each had two players earn ACC weekly honors.

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook was named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week after the star sophomore rumbled for 222 yards and two touchdowns to give the Seminoles a 29-24 victory over the rival Miami Hurricanes.

The 222 rushing yards were the most ever by a FSU back in a game against Miami. Cook also caught three passes for 47 yards and a touchdown to earn his second ACC Offensive Back of the Week honors.

Cook’s teammate DeMarcus Walker was named the defensive lineman of week as he recorded a career-high two sacks and forced a fumbled versus the Hurricanes.

Miami’s Stacey Coley pulled in seven passes for a career-high 139 yards and one touchdown against FSU and was named the weekend’s top wide receiver.

Clemson’s Jay Guillermo was this week’s top offensive lineman. The 6-3, 310-pound center graded out a 93 percent during the Tigers win over Georgia Tech and tallied three knockdown blocks.
