A Pac-12 champion Stanford will be nearly impossible to keep out of the College Football Playoff
Should Stanford win its next four games, including the Pac-12 title, the team would have a 96 percent chance of making the College Football Playoff, according to FiveThirtyEight.com.
As it stands right now, the Cardinal (8-1, 7-0) are ranked No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings and can clinch the Pac-12 North crown with a victory over Oregon on Saturday.
Stanford's remaining games are against Oregon, California, No. 4 Notre Dame and then a potential Pac-12 championship game.
Right now FiveThirtyEight.com gives Stanford a 28-percent chance of making the College Football Playoff and a 19-percent chance of winning the rest of its games.
