A Buckeye and a Spartan have something interesting in common

Ohio State and Michigan State have two of the best offenses in the Big Ten, and both have a star skill player who has been perfect in a particular area playing major roles.

Via Pro Football Focus, MSU wide receiver Aaron Burbridge and OSU running back Ezekiel Elliott are doing more than leading the Big Ten in receiving and rushing yards, respectively.

Burbridge ranks No. 1 in the nation in deep pass catch rate, having caught all 15 catchable passes of more than 20 yards that Connor Cook has sent his way.

Elliott's special skill does not appear on the stat sheet. Per PFF, he has posted a perfect pass protection grade in 74 chances this season.

That is best in the nation and goes along with his overall running back grade of +30.9, which is also No. 1.
