2025 Heisman Trophy Odds: Mendoza Heavy Favorite after Win over Ohio State

2025 Heisman Trophy odds 

4. Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State: +70000

Ohio State QB Julian Sayin has 31 pass touchdowns on the year with just six interceptions. 

What to know: Sayin was neck-and-neck with Mendoza for most of the year, but his odds dropped significantly after losing the head-to-head in the Big Ten title game. He went 21 of 29 passing for 258 yards with one touchdown and one interception in a three-point loss to the Hoosiers. On the year, he has 3,323 passing yards, 31 TDs and just six INTs, with a 12-1 record as a starter.

3. Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame: +15000

Jeremiyah Love has led Notre Dame to 10 straight wins after starting the season 0-2.

What to know: Love shot up the board after a dominant performance against Syracuse two weeks ago, rushing for 171 yards and three scores on just eight carries but fell after a 66-yard rushing performance in a 49-20 win against Stanford in the Irish's last regular-season game of the year. Even still, he ranks fourth in FBS with 1,372 rushing yards and has set the Notre Dame single-season record for TDs in a season with 21. He has now passed Jerome Bettis in that category (20 in 1991).

2. Diego Pavia, QB, Vanderbilt: +600

Vanderbilt and QB Diego Pavia are on the bubble of the College Football Playoff.

What to know: Two weeks ago, Pavia led Vandy to its first win against Tennessee since 2018, taking the Vols down 45-24. It wasn't his best game, completing 18 of 28 passes for 268 yards, one TD and two INTs, but he added a whopping 165 on the ground along with a rushing TD. He's third in FBS in both total offense with 4,018 yards and TDs with 36. He shot up the board after Julian Sayin lost to Indiana.

1. Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana: -1000

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza has led the Hoosiers to a perfect 13-0 record.

What to know: A near lock to win the award now, Mendoza cemented his Heisman case after taking down Ohio State in the Big Ten title game. He leads all of FBS in pass TDs wih 33, and is also the only player to have 30+ passing TDs and 5+ rushing TDs on the year. With him under center, Indiana has recorded its best season in school history, and is the only undefeated team in FBS at 13-0. Mendoza would be the first player in Hoosiers history to win the Heisman Trophy.
