2017 receiver James Robinson is a special player
Regarded as a top-10 player nationally by Rivals.com, 2017 wide receiver James Robinson brings a special skill-set to the table.
The Lakeland, Fla. native is a big and physical receiver. At 6-foot-3, he punishes smaller defensive backs on jump balls, and in red-zone situations. Additionally, Robinson can be lined up all over the field -- as both a perimeter receiver and potentially as a slot option.
With better deep speed than given credit for, Robinson can stretch the field vertically and make plays over the top.
It's no secret many of the nation's top programs are pining for his services. With Clemson's success recruiting the state of Florida, the Tigers figure to be a fixture in Robinson's recruitment -- as will Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Baylor, and others.
Barring injury, Robinson looks like the type of player ready to make an impact the moment he steps foot on a college campus.
