$10K reward in college player's shooting at New Year's party
SEVERN, Md. (AP) Police in Maryland are offering up to $10,000 for information about a shooting that paralyzed a college football player and wounded a 17-year-old.
The Capital Gazette reported Friday that the shooting happened at a New Year's Eve party in Severn, south of Baltimore.
Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, confirmed that Larry Aaron, a 19-year-old redshirt freshman defensive tackle, was among the victims.
His mother, Melissa Aaron, told The Herald-Dispatch in Huntington that her son was paralyzed by a bullet lodged in his spine. Aaron is from Columbia, Maryland.
A 17-year-old male was also shot. The Anne Arundel County Police Department said anyone with recordings, photographs or information should contact police.
