Wofford 74, Appalachian St. 65

Noah Dahlman scored 23 points to lead Wofford over Appalachian State 74-65 on Thursday night.

The Terriers (11-10, 8-2 Southern Conference) trailed 48-45 with 9:52 left, but scored seven straight to go up 52-48 on Cameron Rundles' free throw with 8:23 to go. Wofford wouldn't trail the rest of the way in winning for the fifth time in six games.

The Mountaineers (8-12, 4-6) cut it to 54-53 with 6:27 left, and Wofford responded with 10 straight points.

The Terriers outrebounded the Mountaineers 36-27, with 14 coming on the offensive glass leading to 14 second-chance points. Wofford also capitalized on Appalachian State's 14 turnovers, scoring 17 points. The Terriers had just seven turnovers, while dishing out 16 assists.

Rundles added 14 points and Kevin Gilter had 10 for Wofford.

Donald Sims scored 23 points to lead the Mountaineers, who lost their third straight.
