Wichita State lands Cleveland State transfer Anton Grady

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) Wichita State has filled a significant void in the post by signing Cleveland State transfer Anton Grady to a financial aid agreement for next season.

Grady, who has already graduated, will be eligible to play his final season immediately. He averaged 14.3 points and a team-leading 7.9 rebounds last season.

The Shockers are losing power forward Darius Carter to graduation, and were already thin at the post. Grady fills that spot and he also gives Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall a player with experience in a lineup that returns the backcourt duo of Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker.

After beating Kansas to reach the Sweet 16 this past season, the Shockers will likely be ranked in the preseason Top 25 again this fall.
