Watch the Pearl Harbor Invitational this week on FS1 and FS GO
This week marks the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor that launched the United States into World War II. And for the second straight year, the college basketball world will be there to pay tribute.
Four teams from around the country will meet this week on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu for a two-day basketball showcase in honor of the more than 2,400 killed and 1,2oo wounded in the Dec. 7, 1941 attacks.
This year's field includes Cal (6-1) from the Pac-12, Seton Hall (5-2) from the Big East, Princeton (2-3) from the Ivy League and Hawaii (4-3) from the Big West.
Unlike last year, the four teams will play two games each instead of just one, as was the case last year when Oklahoma, Villanova, Oregon and Navy participated. Here's the schedule, and how to watch:
Tuesday, Dec. 6
Cal vs. Princeton, 6:30 p.m. pregame/7 p.m. tip, FS1/FS GO
Hawaii vs. Seton Hall, 9 p.m. pregame/9:30 p.m. tip, FS1/FS GO
Wednesday, Dec. 7
Cal vs. Seton Hall, 6:30 p.m. pregame/7 p.m. tip, FS1/FS GO
Hawaii vs. Princeton, 9 p.m. pregame/9:30 p.m. tip, FS1/FS GO
The games will be played at storied Bloch Arena, which hosted Elvis Presley in a fundraising concert for the USS Arizona Memorial in 1961. This historic venue withstood the attack by Imperial Japan nearly 75 years ago and serves as a continuous legacy to those in uniform stationed in Hawaii.
