WATCH: Hawaii bench mob rides human surfboard
Hawaii's reserves may have emerged as a worthy challenger to Monmouth's heralded bench mob.
During Wednesday's thriller against undefeated Oklahoma in the Diamond Head Classic semifinals, the Hawaii bench broke out several choreographed stunts, none better than when one member of the bench mob used a teammate as a human surfboard to celebrate Isaac Fleming's 3-pointer.
Oklahoma held on for a dramatic 84-81 win behind Buddy Hield's 27 points. But the Rainbow Warriors have likely picked up a few new fans following their sideline antics against the Sooners.
Monmouth's bench mob has become the standard-setter this year with viral celebration after viral celebration. So far, the Hawks have been seen jousting, doing the scissor handstand and reenacting Michelangelo's 'The Creation of Adam.' Oh, and the Hawks have also secured wins against UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, Georgetown and in-state rival Rutgers this season.
