Wagner beats Fairleigh Dickinson, 94-74, to take over 1st

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) Mike Aaman scored 19 points and Wagner took over sole possession of first-place in the Northeastern Conference with a convincing 94-74 win over Fairleigh Dickinson Thursday night.

Wagner now holds a one-game lead over the Knights with three games left in the regular season.

The game marked the 98th meeting between the schools, with Wagner holding a 50-48 edge all-time. The Seahawks split the season series.

Wagner led by 11 points at intermission and maintained it by shooting 34 of 37 from the free-throw line.

Corey Henson finished with 16 points, half that total coming from his 8-for-8 shooting from the line, to help pace Wagner (17-9, 10-5). Michael Carey added 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. and Jojo Cooper added 12 points and 12 boards.

Earl Potts Jr. scored 17 points and Darian Anderson added 16 to help fuel Fairleigh Dickinson (13-13, 9-6).
