Ursery paces Pacific to 102-54 win over Pacific Union (Dec 23, 2016)

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) D.J. Ursery scored career highs with 18 points and five assists, K.J. Smith added 15 points and a career-high three steals, and Pacific routed NAIA-member Pacific Union 102-54 on Friday to win its second straight.

Jack Williams scored 12 points with two 3-pointers for the Tigers (6-7), who last scored 100 or more points on Nov. 18, 2000, against Chico State (101).

Pacific opened with a 22-6 run capped by Williams' jumper and didn't allow a Pacific Union field goal until 10:42. The Tigers led 52-23 at halftime behind Ursery's 14 points after holding the Pioneers to 27.3 percent shooting.

Pacific outrebounded Pacific Union 50-28, including 23-11 on offensive boards which led to 20 second-chance points. The Tigers dominated down low, outscoring the Pioneers 44-14 in the paint.

Greg Brown scored 11 points and Ben Jazuk added 10 for Pacific Union, which counted the matchup as an exhibition game.
