LAS VEGAS (AP) Jovan Mooring scored 17 points and had seven assists as UNLV fended off Wyoming to earn an 81-75 win on Saturday.

Christian Jones added 15 points and 10 rebounds while Tyrell Green and Jalen Poyser each had 14 points for the Rebels (8-7, 1-1 Mountain West).

Justin James finished with 17 points and Hayden Dalton added 16 to lead the Cowboys (11-4, 1-1).

The Rebels never trailed in the second half but likewise never led by more than seven over the final 10 minutes.
