UNC Greensboro keeps pace with ETSU, beats Western Carolina (Feb 10, 2018)

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Jordy Kuiper scored 12 points, James Dickey had 11 points and nine rebounds, and UNC Greensboro beat Western Carolina 65-48 on Saturday.

Dickey had nine points and seven boards in the first half as UNCG led 31-26 at the break. WCU was held to 25.9 percent shooting from the field in the second half.

Demetrius Troy and Isaiah Miller each added 10 points for UNCG (19-6, 10-2 Southern). Francis Alonso, the conference's No. 2 scorer at 16.9 points per game, was held to just five points on 2-of-9 shooting.

East Tennessee State (13-0) sits alone atop the conference and Furman (8-5) is third.

Marc Gosselin led Western Carolina (12-14, 7-6) with 15 points and nine rebounds. The Catamounts entered on a three-game winning streak but committed 19 turnovers in the loss, leading to 16 UNCG points.

The Catamounts conclude the regular season with four of their final five games at home.
