The Wolverines went 12/26 (75.0%) from 3-point land. The lack of defense from UCLA, inside and out, gave Michigan ample chances to make this a close game. Late in the half, UM had a 48-41 lead.
Fortunately for the Bruins, they went on a 9-2 run to end the half. Despite no defense, their offense saved them as they shot 60.0% from the field. Freshmen Ball and TJ Leaf led the Bruins with 14 and 11 points respectively.
