UCLA Basketball: Bruins to Play in CBS Sports Classic Thru 2019, Face Kentucky in 2017

The UCLA Basketball team, along with Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio State, will participate in the CBS Sports Classic through 2019, which includes a fourth consecutive match up with Kentucky in 2017.

It looks like the Kentucky and UCLA Basketball teams will battle it out for a fourth consecutive season and CBS will reap all the benefits.

It was announced today that UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio State have all been locked into the CBS Sports Classic through 2019, with the match ups already set for the net three years.

One of the season’s best showcases of college hoops will have UCLA take on Kentucky and North Carolina play Ohio State in 2017.

In 2018, the Bruins will once again play the Buckeyes, with the Wildcats taking on the Tar Heels. In 2019, the rotation continues as UCLA will face North Carolina while Kentucky battles it out with Ohio State.

This Saturday will mark the third year that the CBS Sports Classic will take place as the event moves to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UCLA will take on Ohio State at 12 noon with Kentucky-North Carolina following at 2:30 p.m., all times Pacific.

    UCLA last faced Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic in 2014 when the event was held in a Chicago. In that forgettable contest, UK routed the Bruins 83-42 in a heavily one-sided affair. Since then, UCLA has defeated the #1 Kentucky Wildcats in the last two years.
