Two college hoops teams get scorpion scare on plane

The Oregon State men's basketball team and Portland's women's team both received scares in Los Angeles this weekend.

Not on the court mind you, but on boarding their flight home.

A woman on the flight that was to carry both teams home was stung by a scorpion, forcing medical personnel to tend to the woman at the gate (she didn't get back on the plane) and crew to find and kill the scorpion and search the plane to make sure there were no more, according to this report.

As for the players, they were all fine and continued home after the plane was cleared.

Though both teams were probably still feeling the stings of defeats from the road trip.

Oregon State play-by-play man Mike Parker tweeted from the scene.
