Tom Izzo, Bo Ryan among finalists for Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo and former Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan were two of five college head coaches named as finalists for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday.

Eddie Sutton, Lefty Driesell and current Notre Dame women's coach Muffet McGraw are also up for induction. The star-studded class will be headlined by NBA legends Shaquille O'Neal, Allen Iverson and Yao Ming, as well as Sheryl Swoopes, one of the best women's basketball players of all time.

The official Class of 2016 will be announced during Final Four weekend in Houston. The induction ceremony will take place in September in Springfield, Massachusetts.
