The Citadel controls an 84-45 win vs Warren Wilson
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Ashton Moore scored 15 points and Quinton Marshall added 14 to lead The Citadel in a dominating first half and an 84-45 victory over Warren Wilson on Saturday.
The Citadel scored 15-straight points to start the game and the Owls didn't get a field goal until Ty Johnson hit a jumper with 12:33 left before the break. Warren Wilson was held to just 10 first-half points.
Moore shot 5 of 8 from the floor and had six assists. Marshall was 3 of 3 from 3-point range, and P.J. Horgan chipped in 12 points. Jake Wright and C.J. Bray scored 10 points apiece for the Bulldogs (3-3).
The Bulldogs' hot shooting - 60 percent from behind the arc and 59.6 percent on field goals - was spurred by a combined 23 assists.
Timmy Johnson scored 21 points, including four 3-pointers, and Ty Johnson added 17 for the Owls (6-5).
